When he sees that the dead body isn't there, he is genuinely afraid and anxious. The forest shaman, on the day after his interrupted ritual on the dead guy in the car, hurries to the car in an agitated manner. There are a few details in the movie that suggest that the above conclusion is false: The most common theory on the internet is that the two shamans are bad and the girl in white is good.
